This page explains what happens to the details you give us when you join the Founding List, the Caysal email list. We keep it short, and we collect as little as we can.

What we collect

When you join the Founding List, we store:

We don’t store your IP address, and we don’t ask for your name.

Why we collect it

We use your email address to tell you about Caysal, including early access to the Founding Edition. We send about one email a month. The other details help us understand which places and people introduce Caysal to new readers. We never sell your information or share it for advertising.

For visitors in the EU, UK and similar places, the legal basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form. You can withdraw it whenever you like.

Who helps us

The site, the signup database and our spam protection run on Cloudflare. To tell people from bots, Cloudflare Turnstile briefly checks signals from your browser and connection when you use the form. Cloudflare may process data outside your country under standard data-protection terms. If we start using a separate service to send our emails, we’ll name it here before moving any details to it.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across other websites.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while you’re on the Founding List. When you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, we remove them within 30 days.

Your choices

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK, or a US state such as California), you may have further rights, including getting a copy of your data or objecting to how we use it. We honour these requests wherever you are. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled something, you can also contact your local data-protection authority.

The Founding List is meant for adults and isn’t directed at children under 16.
